The goal of this course is to establish a general understanding of how a good story is structured, how you can make use of this understanding in your own written (and spoken) output. |

Please note that you have to send a short application (short motivation letter, CV, copy of master certificate) to verena.komander@uni-passau.de until June 15, 2021. After your successful application, you will be provided the password to register for the course. The course will be held by Tobias Goldfarb. He first studied comparative literature, Roman languages and literature and art history in Bonn, then acting and dramaturgy in Mexico City. He completed a Master of Arts in International Journalism at the City University London. Since 2002 he has worked as a freelance journalist for radio (WDR, Deutschlandfunk) and as a writer and director for theatre. Goldfarb's plays have been performed at the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the Deutsches Theater Göttingen and the Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall, among others. In 2014 and 2015 he directed the Bad Hersfeld Festival. Tobias Goldfarb has led numerous workshops and lectures on creative writing, especially in English, and has extensive teaching experience in numerous fields. The course will be offered as a virtual seminar. Information on how to access the respective Zoom meeting will be sent to all participants prior to the beginning. |
