Für alle Veranstaltungen des Graduiertenzentrums besteht Anmeldepflicht. Die kostenlose Anmeldung für die Seminare ist für Mitglieder des Graduiertenzentrums und Masterstudierende der Universität Passau möglich und erfolgt ausschließlich über Stud.IP. Anmeldungen werden in der Reihenfolge des Eingangs berücksichtigt.
Sie können sich bis zu 15 Tage vor Beginn der Veranstaltung wieder von der Veranstaltung abmelden. Nach Ablauf dieser Frist ist die Anmeldung verbindlich. Ein Rücktritt ist nur im Einzelfall mit schriftlicher Begründung möglich.

Registration is mandatory for all events of the Graduate Center. Free registration for the seminars is possible for members of the Graduate Center and Master's students of the University of Passau and takes place exclusively via Stud.IP. Registrations will be considered in the order of receipt.
You can cancel your registration up to 15 days before the start of the event. After this deadline, the registration is binding. Withdrawal is only possible in individual cases with written justification.

  • An idea for a research project for which you have not yet written a grant proposal.
(If you do not have any idea at all, you can work on your current research project).
  • a computer or laptop with keyboard, mouse and one or two monitors (cell phones are too small)
  • a headset

Kommentar/Beschreibung

At the end of the workshop you will
  • have an overview of funding opportunities and helpful sources of information
  • be able to use a range of methods to efficiently develop research ideas into research projects and design them to a suitable funding program
  • have concise building blocks for the different parts of a proposal such as work plan, pert diagram, objective, innovative aspects, and impact
  • have important background information on the submission process

Content:
SESSION 1: Funding programs and how to read the documents (3.5 hours).
In this session we will look at the triangle of projects, funding opportunities, background information on funding programs and evaluation processes, and how to read the official documents.

SESSION 2: Develop your idea into a work plan (3.5 hours).
We will develop your project idea into an initial work plan using the Disney method and visualize your research design.

SESSION 3: Communicate your project convincingly (3.5 hours).
In this session, you will learn how to craft your research design to a specific grant program and how to facilitate communication with reviewers. The focus is on objectives and innovative aspects.

SESSION 4: Impact and budget (3.5 hours).
We will look at proposal structure, impact, and budget calculation.

Learning Objectives:
This workshop focuses on
a) how to develop your idea for a project into a sound work programme,
b) how to match it to the requirements of the funding programme and
c) how to facilitate the communication with the reviewer by presenting your complex ideas in an easy-to-understand way.
