Solid knowledge of microeconomics and macroeconomics as well as having completed at least one of the courses „Makroökonomik offener Volkswirtschaften“ and „International Economics“ is highly recommended. |

• Seminar meetings and discussions. • Advice and feedback on the term paper and the final presentation. • Students are encouraged to use English wherever possible (term paper, presentation, discussion, literature). |
Performance record |
Students write a term paper on a topic that is assigned at the beginning of the seminar. The main text of the term paper should have 8–10 pages. Besides, students present their work in the seminar and engage in discussions. Portfolio: The final grade consists of • term paper (50 %) • presentation and participation (50 %) |

Qualifikationsziele |
Taking recent contributions to the literature on the role of social activism for the international organization of production as a starting point, students get acquainted with recent research questions and methodologies in the field. They learn how to carry out an independent critical analysis of the literature and to present their results both orally and in a written term paper. |
