This course enables students to
• explain fundamental concepts related to international management as well as assumptions and mechanisms of theories and applied issues.
• interpret recent developments in international management in the light of these theories, scientific literature, and applied issues.
• transfer analysis in relation to real company examples in which the students actively apply the theoretical knowledge.
• illustrate how the acquired knowledge of normative, transfer, methodological and factual aspects of international management can be used for the professionalization and further development of business processes.
• assess the role of managers, their decision making-processes and the resulting relevance thereof for business in an international context.
• develop an independent evaluation and interpretation of scientific findings and case studies in order to formulate, critically evaluate and argue practical and theoretical solutions for typical questions of international management.
Workload
Lecture 2 SWS (in-class time 30 h, self-study time 70 h).
Tutorial 2 SWS (in-class time 30 h, self-study time 20 h)

Calculation is based on: every hr./sem.-week corresponds to 60 minutes. One semester is presumed to be 15 weeks, i.e. 14 course + 1 exam week
