Dear all,

Prof. em. Herman Waibel offers Masterthesis topics within the “Mekong River Village Project“. Supervision would be provided by Prof. Waibel and Prof. Grimm.

Possible topics include:

• Changes in the Mekong River Basin and Village Development
• Hydropower dams and  shocks in Mekong villages
• Estimation of the value of sand extraction and their costs from Mekong River in Thailand
• Conflicts and possible solutions among Mekong countries: a bargaining model approach

This slides give an overview of the project.

The GIZ is sharing data that can be used for a master thesis with a focus on the adoption of agricultural innovations. The data has been collected within the Green Innovation Centers on Agriculture and Nutrition. This sheet provides more information. Although it is in German, I trust the GIZ accepts proposals in English as well.
