Content:
This hands-on seminar equips students with the skills to communicate scientific content clearly and with confidence. Participants learn how to identify their target audience, define key messages, and adapt their presentation style across to different audiences and goals. They’ll craft compelling stories with a clear structure, design effective visuals to simplify complex ideas, and explore tools like PowerPoint and Canva. Finally, they’ll practice their delivery through public speaking techniques and interactive exercises like PowerPoint karaoke – building confidence and presence on stage.


Learning Outcomes:
The participants
• can present themselves and their messages effectively and confidently to different audiences
• know principles of story telling and slide design to improve the effectiveness of their presentations and posters
• know their goals and their target group and know how to adapt their language, content and presentation format accordingly
• know how to prepare and perform presentations as a group
