Please use a laptop or desktop computer to participate. Participation with a smartphone is not possible. Please log in a few minutes before the start of the course (s.t.) so that any problems can be resolved before the start of the course. Please test the microphone, speakers and webcam on your PC in advance. To avoid feedback, it is best to leave your microphone switched off at first. As soon as you want to speak, you can switch it on. If you have a headset, please use it (but this is not a prerequisite for participation). So that the lecturers can track your attendance, we ask you to use your correct name (first name and surname) in Zoom and to leave your camera switched on during the course. Only then can we also issue you with a certificate of attendance. If you want to protect your privacy, you have the option to set up a virtual background in Zoom. Content:
This course will explore the modern challenges leaders face in managing a post-pandemic, digital, fast changing and global world. Traditional western management approaches and attitudes will be challenged and the case will be made for a new form of leadership, taking into consideration the importance of personal development necessary for the effective modern leader and the requirement for flexibility and cultural adaptability in today’s global marketplace.
The students will get the practical opportunity to practice leadership tools and self-awareness techniques, and to develop their own personal leadership vision. The latest developments in leadership theory and techniques will be presented, with real life examples and case studies from leadership programs at the United Nations, the private sector and top business schools.

Learning objectives:
The students...

will be sensitized to the challenges of leadership in a fast-paced, culturally diverse and rapidly changing world. The course will address how leaders can best connect and bond virtually in the “new-normal” post-pandemic world
will gain a clear understanding of the difference between “managing” and leading people; and the relevance of this in today’s global workplace.
gain insights into how their own personal and cultural biography affects their leadership style
recognise the vital importance of managing themselves and get to practice emotional intelligence techniques
will discover their own authentic style of leadership and be given the chance to tap into their individual sense of purpose and vision for their career as future leaders.
will learn to current motivational leadership tools such as feedback guidelines and conflict management tools and will be given the chance to practice and internalise these

Es wird eine festgelegte Anzahl von Plätzen in den Veranstaltungen verteilt.
Die Plätze werden in der Reihenfolge der Anmeldung vergeben.
Die Anmeldung ist möglich von 01.10.2024, 12:00 bis 07.02.2025, 23:59.
Diese Regel gilt bis 10.11.2024 00:00.
Die Anmeldung zu maximal 5 Veranstaltungen des Anmeldesets ist erlaubt.
Die Teilnehmenden der Veranstaltung: 60000A UNENTSCHULDIGT GEFEHLT SoSe 24 (SoSe 24) werden automatisch auf eine Warteliste der Priorität 2 eingetragen.
