Contents:
This two-day interactive seminar, held in English, offers the students an insight into the impact of culture on everyday international business dealings. The participants will be made aware, of their own cultural “filter” (UCL) and how this affects their perception of, and interaction with international business partners. The seminar will offer the students strategies to successfully navigate cultural differences and create synergies, and tools to connect and communicate effectively within international teams. A practical framework for making sense of differences will be introduced, along with mindfulness strategies and emotional intelligence tools. These all serve to develop self-confidence, deal with stress and uncertainty in today’s world, and avoid misunderstandings when interacting across cultures.

• Awareness and deeper understanding of own cultural identity
• Effective strategies such as Emotional Intelligence for dealing with culture shock
• Practical application of the cultural dimensions as a framework for dealing with diversity and creating synergies
• Understanding of the complexity of working with international teams
• Tools to navigate stressful situations, avoid misunderstanding and to connect and communicate successfully in the fast- changing global arena
